Stainless steel? In these times? You would more likely get a brushed aluminium shell, filled with gravel. "Stainless Steel" would be the name of the model. It would break down after 13 months and You would have to buy a new one, while Your grandma would still have her stainless steel block from the 70s.

Yeah, the base model is garbage, but if you spend a little extra for the Stainless Pro, you won't regret it!

Back in the before times when home phones were still a thing I had this really nice cordless phone. It had this really nice balance and heft to it, felt really quality and I always remember feeling pretty good about it as a thing. Finally one day it died and I think I must have hoped to figure out what went wrong so I popped it open and realize it was like 2% technology, 23% empty space and the rest was just a solid piece of heavy rubber.
