- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

That’s not even the point of this post. Why is this even such a concern to you? You’re clearly not a New Yorker, or you’d know that solidarity fighting Trump is about the best endorsement he’s gonna get. The more Trump attacks him, the better he’ll do in the general. It’s as simple as that.
We're talking about a US citizen being arrested and deported for political reasons. They should oppose that no matter who the target is, republican, democrat, anyone. That's not an endorsement, that's just what they should do no matter what. I'm not going to applaud them for saying that's bad. 🙄

I get it. You don’t understand NY. You don’t have to repeat yourself.
People who know nothing about his platform are already saying they love how much he’s pissing off Trump. That’s the endorsement he needs to win.
Keep making excuses for them. His own voters chose Mamdani to represent the party. It seems like Hakeem Jefferies is the one that doesn't understand NY or how to represent his constituents.
Keep finding reasons to hate on good actions by Democrats. This post is about Jeffries doing what he can to bring attention to the vote with the little control he has.

Nah. I’ve been left of the Democrats since the 90s, but I’ve always been very engaged in politics. Protesting, volunteering for elections, occasional stumping…
I loudly support good actions on Lemmy, because users always seem happy to provide the criticism. There’s no such thing as a good or bad person or politician, just good and bad actions. This was a good action, that I believe warranted recognition.
