Mine is set somewhat like that, except none of those benefits. People can sneak from behind. I could place the desk on the other side of the room, but the entrance is narrow rather than an overall square room, so I'd have the desk on the way in, essentially. At least without moving the bed. If I rearrange the bed, I guess I could find a way to make it work. Though I'd also need to move other stuff around as well. Also, if near a window, which would be the best position, out the way but also no sneaking, I could end up with sun potentially hitting the screen, in through the window, from an angle
Ah yeah it can get tricky if the room isn't a square/rectangle. The sun does hit my window in the morning, so I just close the blinds until around 9:30 AM when it's high enough.
