I’m sure he has plenty to say but his policies resulted in a poor relationship with China and Australian industries were impacted.
The Libs were also responsible for cutting funding to our Oceania and close Pacific friends for years, resulting in trashing Australia's reputation and opening the door for China to rapidly expand their influence in the region.
It was some of the stupidest, short-sighted policy I'd seen. And surprisingly, even the Libs realised how stupid it was and reversed course.
Not to be outdone by selling Darwin's port to, who was that again? Oh, China! And who did that? The Country Liberal Party. And who was in Federal government? "The federal government at the time, led by then-Treasurer Scott Morrison, provided incentives to the Northern Territory government for the sale"
So hypocritical I'm amazed his smugness doesn't come off as him being genuine.
