Alright, rubbing shoulders with wutang is cool and all, but slipping away to plot with killer mike is what got me pumped. Anyone else remember how much work he put in promoting Bernie? Killer Mike puts in actual work at the political level way more than most rappers. I hope we get to see some of that again here!
Killer Mike uses music, influence and money to further his cause.
For the uninitiated, here's an entire music video about prejudice, also hinting at the growth of the prison industry
He also started a bank with the goal of lending money to minority-owned businesses and minorities in general
This song uses 'blame your crew quicker than Trump fucks his youngest' as an insult. Music video itself somewhat symbolizes the 2016 election year, which is even mentioned by Killer Mike (who of course thought Clinton would win regardless of whether it's an election or fist fight)
But of course one would also expect Wu-Tang Clan to be important in a mayoral race in NYC in particular.
