Speaking at a town-hall event for the bureau's employees, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick also suggested that when tallying the country's population, the census should differentiate people living in the U.S. without legal status from other residents, according to three Census Bureau employees, who asked NPR not to name them because they fear retaliation...

No undocumented people will answer the census lol. They will be too afraid that ICE is not far behind the census people. Then Trump will come out and brag how there are no illegals in the country and what a great job he did.

Impossible. They need the boogieman, and it's too early to start turning on minorities before midterms.

But imagine if he did roll out and say "no more illegals, look at what Trump did for you all". Lmao. Would be something epic 😄

That would be great, tho. Just let him say that a few times, and after waiting a bit to let the programming reach the MAGA herd and be interpreted by their "special" brains, the ones hiding can come out and be safe, assumed to be legal since he "got rid" of the illegal ones.
