Perhaps take jobs that require the ppe then.

The point of the post is that women are much more likely to need ways to safeguard themselves from other people.

That's certainly your interpretation of it. I think it just shows that women doesn't elect to work in jobs that require ppe.

Funnily enough, when i google the term, i get womens ppe as the top result.

Odd, I don't see a single ppe product when I search "women's safety items." In fact the above meme pops up along with a lot of self-defense stuff.

Anecdotally, I have been noticing more women working construction; though I haven't looked at statistics. As for other ppe fields, idk about gender disparities in those but I know nursing is a woman dominated field and that requires plenty of ppe. Science research, labs, factories etc I have no idea about.

It was only within the last ~5 years I could find multiple options for women's safety shoes and not just small size men's shoes. Even then, I end up having to buy them online.

My father had one woman classmate in his engineering classes back in the day. She was labeled as a ::shudder:: lesbian due to her STEM proclivities.

Can't imagine why more women don't want to go into fields that require PPE when they're just so gosh darn welcoming.
