I’m IT. Long while ago we had a caged “office” in one of our warehouse buildings. The chain link fencing has thick canvas covering it so nobody would ogle the computer kit the cage contained, but you could hear us inside. We also had an old Selectric we’d recovered from somewhere. When we knew folks were walking by, we’d have great fun firing up the typewriter and acting like we were typing away in our IT area. The sound of IT using ancient hardware carried quite well surely filling our customers with confidence of our capabilities.
