I meant compared to other digital solutions.

Keep in mind that for printed images you would still need a quality printer with ink and decent paper. Your average printer and paper would probably not have the quality you'd want. Plus there's many other reasons to have something digital, such as an easy way to remotely update thousands of images because they changed a bit of the branding, graying out the image of a drink because it is not available, and most importantly you already need a processing unit for the rest of the stuff the machine does that would otherwise require custom printed PCBs.

So as I said, in many cases it will be cheaper.

Chain stores regularly get updated signage. This particular graphic would fit in an envelope. It's neither complicated nor unusual.
