Fun fact, there are no muscles in your hands, only tendons. The muscle that pulls them is in the wrist. This wouldn't seem very healthy.
That sort of clubbing would indicate a tendon injury, that would probably result in trigger finger

I have very mild trigger finger in my left middle finger. Don't hammer things with your palm, use a small mallet.
Had that in the non dominant thumb. Every morning that effer was flopping around until I tarted building splints out of old work id cards. Shot of cortisol in the thumb pad did it up.
