I've changed a LOT of minds over the past few years and most have thanked me for not treating arguments like a cage match (yeah yeah and everyone clapped, but I'm not exaggerating lol)

I lot of people's only real exposure to the left is through LIBERAL GETS DESTROYED content and aren't expecting a thoughtful conversation. If you actually listen, you'll realize their concerns are justified but they're misplacing their anger. And from there it's usually surprisingly easy to point it in the right direction.

The #1 question to ask about any topic is "who stands to gain from this?" because the answer is usually the same people who told them to be mad about it in the first place.

In my experience, immigration and healthcare are the easiest. Taxes/wealth opinions just kind of happen. LGB stuff has mixed results and T+ stuff is a lot harder - specifically women's sports.

That's the way to go!
I also try that, but sometimes it is really hard not to directly role the eyes and walk away, but actually talk and try to find out what the point of some remarks is.

I've given up just as much as I've succeeded. Sometimes I don't have the patience and sometimes they're just unwilling to budge.

I think what's important in those cases is to make a positive impression on the way out. They'll remember if you make them feel subhuman
