two centrists watching TV smile and nod emptily at the Republican lawmaker's comments
"Wow, the political discourse is sure divisive isn't it! I wonder what awful things the radical left said to make the Republican lawmaker feel like he had to say that?" - one asks the other in a suddenly concerned tone.
Oh look. It's the leftist "both sides" group making up scenarios to fit a narrative.
