It’s fair to say this social space tends to lean far left. But at the same time, outside of tankie circles, many users are pointedly not dogmatic about it, and in fact have a strong distaste for dogmatic approaches used by both the far right AND far left.
Thunberg is reductive in her approach to issues and geopolitics outside of climate matters, sure - but her ideology is based in humanism and trying to be a decent person while advocating for the human dignity of others, so I personally am willing to give her a rather generous benefit of the doubt. To compare her and her supporters to orangeboi and his is… well, kinda dumb. Thunberg’s supporters care about the environment and human rights. Orangeboi’s supporters care about white people being on top of society, and hurting “the bad people”, where “the bad people” is left intentionally extremely nebulous (more succinctly, they’re fascist supporters and enablers). This is not really an apples to apples comparison.
My previous comment calls you out (admittedly crudely) for expressing utter disdain and contempt for an ongoing human rights catastrophe and genocide, and I stand by that comment. I’m calling you out for being callously indifferent to the rampant suffering that’s being spitefully inflicted on a civilian population by a state actor.
