Has anyone checked this one out? Any thoughts?

I'm a few episodes in and I like the premise but I'm not sure on the execution yet. Seems like it could almost be awesome but falls a bit short.

I can't quite put my finger on why that is though.

I'm liking it way more than I thought I would. Partially because it kinda feels like an anime that would've come out in the early 2010s. Don't know why it feels that way, but it does. Also the OP and ED slap
