Conglomerates are weird.
Though Hyundai Group is now broken up, its successors (most still named Hyundai something-or-other) do everything: sell insurance, run a department store chain, build cars and ships, refine oil, make semiconductors, and at one time operated tours to Mount Kumgang.
General Electric used to make airplane engines, operate a major financial services business, and also run TV and movie studios.
Swire is involved in the Cathay Pacific airline, and also bottling Coca-Cola.
Peugeot is just a company that can't quite decide what they want to do.
