I'm genuinely scared (Australia), because I don't see any chance of China being overthrown from within at this point. They've got a lockdown on information beyond anything else historically.

As an Australian I am much more worried aboit the UIS, they've gone full pants on head insane and have already successfully invaded and have troops here already.

At least with the Chinese we'd finanly get decent trains and better food..

That's absolutelly natural at the end of line of an Imperial nation.

China too will end up like that.

Maybe the beginning of the Chinese Era won't be too bad, but they'll be as bad as America soon enough and eventually they too will go "full pants on head insane" as they reach their own end of line as Empire, though his this kind of thing historically takes a century or so to happen.

You should be scared because you guys have FAT STORES OF GOLD that China 10000% wants. For the same reason Russia wants Canada, Greenland, and the US.

nah, don't be afraid.

tl;dr: They can't risk poking the West

China has zero experience in modern warfare, while every single Western nation has extensive history and practice. China hasn't fought anything major in 50 years. Western militaries have been continuously active for decades in all manner of warfare and intelligence.

Chinese technology is also always lagging behind Western nations. Their infrastructure is also hastily built and very prone to collapse and malfunction, which also extends to products made in China. I'm sure you've had your own experience with the "made in China" level of quality.

China also has no control over global media, no country trusts them, most of the global community doesn't trust them, and most Western civilians don't trust them. If they start a war, they can't call for international support.

China's also surrounded by enemies who have a deep history of warfare and fighting against China, such as South Korea, Japan and India. All are largely rich nations with modern militaries and strong unity. China's only allies are Russia, Iran and North Korea. Russia is not a reliable ally due to past skirmishes between China and Russia, North Korea is still reliant on soviet technology, and Iran is geographically far.

China also has limited control over its ocean, which is filled with allied ships and submarines. They can't risk any naval assault and their every movement is tracked by multiple militaries. Their ships are also largely outdated and lacking in quality compare to Western nations, such as US, Japan and Australia.

Landwise China is surrounded by extremely challenging terrain for ground forces and extensive mountain ranges. Their supply and logistical lines are also severely limited. They can't attack nations across the ocean due to their lack of submarine technology and naval power, they can only be funnelled through certain paths along the rugged terrain and they can't defend against South Korea, Japan and India all at once, and that's not even including other Western powers.

China's population is also its largest weakness. China can't sustain its population without relying on importing food from Western nations. They're so desperate to control their population size that they've tried numerous attempts of population control, and none have yet been effective. Consider the devastation of Chinese citizens starving, they can't risk that. Their economy also relies heavily on Western complacency, which can shift to India at a moment's notice if China proves itself to be too unreliable; hence, China has to cater to Western demands for now.
