i have tried both testosterone and estrogen (trans). Testosterone rage is definitely real and so is estrogen mood swings. It's not like the movies though, moreso you can't solve a puzzle so you ragequit and just are really pissed off sulking on the couch.
Same thing happens no matter the hormones but it's WAY less common to me on E.

estrogen will make you cry over a pidgin because it walks cute. I genuinely can't describe it.

Testosterone doesn't create, it exacerbates. So the cuddly becomes more cuddly
