Got a cold from getting stuck in the rain yesterday. Lame.
This is an interesting line of thinking. I was told as a child that if I go out in the cold, I will get a cold. Have since heard it's a myth. Is it more the symptoms that come from cold exposure, like a "headcold" or the virus itself?
Reduced immune system response if you get chilled I reckon. Also airborne viruses survive much longer in the cold due to a fatty outer layer that evaporates in hot weather and sunshine. Also UV kills viruses and there's less of that in cold weather.

I think it's exposure to cold can make us run down and more suspectable, if we are already fighting cold viruses we might succumb
Maybe when youβre cold your immune system is a little less robust? Then again I was at the gym yesterday and those places are Petri dish of illnesses sometimes lol
