Studying in the morning at home? That sounds like a good routine, I'm envious.
Duolingo also left huge gaps in my knowledge, but it's a nice vocab learning tool. Recently picked up chess and it's been amazing.
And hell yes, much better to study when it's cold outside. That cozy tea+sweater study session is much more productive than sweating indoors with shorts and T-shirt.
Hope you were able to pick up Irish after a while of taking a break from it!
