someone translate it. i read it three times and I'm not sure I can understand it

[–] GregorGizeh@lemmy.zip 36 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

My Interpretation is that they made ai assistants for each government official and then somehow got the weird idea to announce it like the woman who is the ai minister is giving birth to her ai children.

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana@piefed.world 23 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (2 children)

And the funny thing about the AI minister is that she is an AI.

[–] GregorGizeh@lemmy.zip 9 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Oh... I somehow assumed the ai minister of a country would be a minister for ai instead of a llm with legislative powers 🫠 fuck this reality

At least it makes the ai children comment less weird i guess

[–] ryedaft@sh.itjust.works 7 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Executive, not legislative powers.

[–] GregorGizeh@lemmy.zip 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Does a minister have executive powers? Thought thats the chancellor / president / whoever has the final say if anything is actually to be actually done.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Executive branch is usually shared by ministers. President in many countries is only a representative and at most has legislative veto rights or something.

To be fair, I trust AI more than humans. It will at worst, make random decisions, and not ones motivated by lobby money.

Albania is making an improvement...

[–] LeninsOvaries@lemmy.cafe 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

ChatGPT groomed a kid into committing suicide and told him to hide the noose from his parents

[–] WorldsDumbestMan@lemmy.today 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Trump raped several kids, bombed many more.

[–] LeninsOvaries@lemmy.cafe 3 points 3 weeks ago

So we've established that Trump and ChatGPT are both pedophiles

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

AI is biased by its training data, which is why for an example, facial recognition models are racist.

Now question is, who chooses the training data for the AI?

[–] WorldsDumbestMan@lemmy.today 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

The data scientists, and nerdy AI experts. They have to train the AI's to a standard to avoid being sued.

There's room for racism, but less likely than the average MAGA head.

That explains Grok roasting his owner.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 3 points 3 weeks ago

Eh, Albania is probably not going to do it so your assumption is fairly safe, but for an example the US could just commission an AI biased to whatever Trump wants.

I tried out Deepseek R1 locally. It straight up told me it has no record of anything happening on Tiananmen square, after the "thinking" part of the model output something to the tune of "The user is asking about specific historical events. I must provide correct information approved by the CCP".

[–] Tja@programming.dev 3 points 3 weeks ago

That makes the comment slightly less weird, to be honest. Still weird, don't get me wrong, but less so.
