Like I get there are several reasons people remain. It just feels kinda weird to listen to a podcaster or youtuber go off on twittter, yet they still use twitter exclusively. (media.kbin.cafe)

Discoverability of content above average? On Twitter? An I doing something wrong? The only time I end up on Twitter is when someone links to it. Following or even searching in comments is essentially not possible.

I think it's a great platform for people who like celebrities or talking heads. I don't care about those people so I was more into reddit where it was more like anonymous peers. Lemmy takes the place of reddit super well but I could see why Mastodon doesn't because there are no celebrities or talking heads.
