So, in 2016 I read a couple opinion pieces about the rise of Trump, and how liberal/leftist elitism played a major part because the rank and file of the right felt as if we were looking down on them, and it made me really introspective. Were we being exclusionary? Should we focus more on kindness and understanding? It would be hard to ignore or push aside some of their hateful rhetoric to meet then where they are and help guide them out, but maybe that is what needs to happen.
In 2025? Fuck that, and fuck you. I'll still vote for your best interests, march with you, vote with you and not mock you or disown you for your past, but you have to swallow your pride and admit you were wrong first. If you can't do that, you deserve the Trump-dozer that will roll over you.
I am looking down on them, because they're stupid.
As Cipolla suggested, a stupid person is the most dangerous person in the world .. Why? you don't understand them and they'll act in ways that hurt you and themselves.
