And who doesn't enjoy using 90% of their system resources to compile the 10% remainder all the time?
You can compile while doing other things.
Any recent (AMD) cpu will handle it just fine.
Even most games struggle to utilize many threads.
Gentoo is also amazingly easy to use.
You can use binary versions if you want.
