I like Trump. But I agree with you on this part: Just. Fucking. Report. The. Truth.
Then the masses can decide for themselves. Lying and doctoring stuff, regardless of what side of the aisle it falls on, sucks equally.
The media will stand behind whatever side is in power. They covered up for Biden when Biden was losing his mind as president. People just eat it up. I'm all for a fully neutral news org (and no, PBS was not neutral). I think Christian Science Monitor is usually neutral and facts-driven most of the time.
Like the Epstein stuff. Everyone on Lemmy is saying, "Trump release the files!" How come everyone didn't say "Biden, release the files!" when dems were in power?! Why didn't the news orgs push and investigate more? Follow the money.
I'd love the full files to be released. No names at all retracted. BOTH parties are corrupt.
Fuck both sides. I'm here for the chaos!! :)
Fuck both side, yes. But if you like Trump, you are part of the problem.
There isn’t a single thing he stands for that anyone should find even acceptable.
I'm not part of the problem. This is a free country and we get to vote for who we want, regardless of whether you like them or not.
You wanna be mad? Be mad at the liberals who didn't vote at all. That's how Trump became president. :)
By the way, I like Trump. Fuck man, he was president 5 years ago, and you all didn't do shit with your win. You lost a second time to Trump. Trump! lol Man, that's on you, that ain't on me. I laughed my ass off on election night.
I’m willing to listen. How has anything he’s touched been done to improve the life of anyone but himself and his cronies?
Well I like the tariffs. I like him reducing a lot of useless govt waste. I like the stronger scrutiny on people who take advantage of welfare. I like the fact that people who have broken the law and are here illegally, are getting sent back to their home countries. I personally have gained a fuckton on stocks and crypto. In fact, I bought a bunch more at the recent dip a couple of days ago. That's gonna help me profit. He's talked of a $2K refund from the tarriffs.
I like him. You don't have to though. But, well, more people voted him in than who voted for Harris. Guess you all better come up with a better candidate next time. Or you're gonna lose again to the next republican pres candidate.
I would recommend some research about tariffs and how actually they work.
Disappearing people based on how they look without due process is really unconstitutional.
He also has 0 morals. Buying and selling literal people is illegal.
Lastly, pointing fingers isn’t a solution. There are likely lots of reasons why Harris lost. We should be moving forward, not trying to dodge responsibility.
I agree that we should be moving forward. News just in is that Dems caved and are agreeing to Republican demands, and the govt shutdown will end now. That's good news! Looks like other people are moving forward too. That's a good thing.
People get what they vote for, I suppose. I voted for Trump, so I have no complaints.
I can honestly say this is the most civilized conversation I’ve had with any Trump supporter, especially in an online forum.
I’d recommend a little more research into what you think he’s done that is helpful.
Yes, the shutdown is near ending. But, at what cost? People that aren’t as lucky as you, that can’t afford any healthcare, would probably disagree it’s such a great thing.
The GOP is literally trying to NOT feed their constituents and they are being used as pawns.
I have no reason to be uncivil. I totally get that I'm outnumbered on Lemmy. I also strongly support people voting for whatever party they deem acceptable. I have no issues with people voting for Democrats.
Heck, I actually liked Bernie and was disappointed to see how he was treated. I personally wouldn't have voted for him, but he's a stand up guy and I respect him. But they picked Hillary over him. Ugh, of all people. Then this time around, propping up Harris who was just a Biden clone.
Here's the thing. Unless you all really really REALLY fuck up, in three years there will be a Dem in office. Back and forth, that's how it goes.
But really, what's changed? Dems drop the ball. Republicans drop the ball. But everyone keeps keeping on. Same thing, same shit, different election. Every. Single. Time.
I'll tell ya right now, I'll vote for the person that will get us Flat Tax. And age limits. Regardless of party. I don't care if there is a D or an R behind their name.
What irritates me way more than Dems or Repubs is the fact that everyone just puts up with shit because they are blindly loyal to their party. I love the chaos troll that Trump is. I want the entire system to go down, and be built from the bottom up.
I'm not blindly loyal to any party. I think we should totally start over. I want the next prez to be someone who has actually worked for a living. No fucking lawyers, or ivy league guys/gals. No fucking nepo babies. I want the next person to be someone who actually knows what it's like to do shit work and worry about car payments. I don't care what the letter is behind his name, he/she'll get my vote.
Until that happens, I'm gonna laugh as it all goes to shit. People are sheep. And this is what people deserve for letting rich people make decisions for them.
People need to wake up. And if it took another term of Trump to shake the status quo, well, I'm here for it.
I don't take any of it too personal tho. I lightly follow politics and make some posts on Lemmy. My real life is not affected. I live my life independent and make sure I'm off grid and me and the gf don't depend on anyone, and def don't depend on the government. I'm stocked up no matter what happens. I got my gal, my guns, my food, my water, my livestock, my land. I'm good.
