As someone who was an adult when it came out but didn't see it until years later.
It's an adequate live-action adaptation of a classic piece of animation. With Christmas coming up you should probably go ahead and give it a watch, if for no other reason than to say you did.

Edit: for the downvotes, there's a line in The Grinch about how Cindy Lou is so young she hasn't even grown into her nose yet. I'm not commenting on the actor's looks.
