Opening hours would like to differ. Also your wallet.
I have a pantry and an oven. I am, at most, 45 minutes away from having cake at any given time.
Okay but this is about going to the shop and buying one.
The shops are shut, and I just baked another cake because I can.
Good for you. That's why I said opening hours are what might stop OP from buying a cake.

As I showed elsewhere in this post, diabetes does not stop you from buying a cake. It doesn't even stop you from eating it, it might just punish you later.
