One thing I’ve noticed in this thread is that everyone is very eager to shit on each other’s requests for superpowers, even though the OP just says “side effect.”

It doesn’t have to be bad, it just has to be something extra!

(Why are humans always dragging each other down into the crab pot?)

Probably because of the origin of this game was the monkey's paw. Pick an amazing superpower and everyone gets to ruin it it in fun and creative ways.
