Time was we would kill traitors. If this is treason, then we should kill him. One person is closer than anyone else to him right now. They could stop all of this.
Nobody in US political leadership wants to set the precedent of facing legal consequences for their actions while in power.
Time was you would venerate traitors and call them “founding fathers”. Different strokes.
Hardly an apt comparison.
Fair I suppose. They were far more lethal per capita than the dickheads these days.
