NGL on this one, but why someone doesn't have a passport is beyond me.
Given the shitshow in the country right now, EVERYONE that is old enough should have one.
It's the realest ID there is, AND it doesn't have the holders home address on it.
It's just a State Department issued document stating that one is an American National.
Thats a lot of privalege talking, getting a passport isnt that easy for a lot of people.
Privilege? How about it being a lot of work.
Don't make an assumption that I'm middle-class like you are. Been working poor my entire adult life.
Because it's $165 per adult and $135 for a child under the age of 16. That's $600+ for a family of four, in an economy where monthly groceries cost ~$1000+ monthly for that same family.
Yeah, virtue signaling for the working poor much eh? Do tell me how I managed it with a 19k income the year I got mine.
FYI, it's a document that lasts for a decade.
Also, if the family is on hard times, start with the people most likely to be hassled by ICE.
But of course, it can't be done, since working poor Americans like myself, managed to do it.
FFS, you make some messed up assumptions.
Getting a Passport is a fuck of a lot cheaper than what you're gonna lose if you get picked up by ICE.
Damn your government is ripping you off. I got mine for ~$20
Yeah dude, it's America. Ripping us off is essentially a televised sport, considering the existence of capan.
We keep it under $800 for the 5 of us, but that's partly because I'm not including the free times a month we eat out.
Shut up.
