6700 is indeed a decent GPU for anything you want to play.
but your FX processor is so old that it cant keep up, Its bottlenecking the hell out of you. I bet you arent even hitting 50% of the capability of the GPU with such an old CPU.
I dont want to tell you to go and spend hundreds of dollars to buy a new mobo/cpu/ram.. but theres no tweaking, editing, or anything, you can do to make a 13 year old CPU keep up with modern software.
Either gonna have to accept limitations and only play much older games, or invest in new CPU/MOBO/RAM.. Which is a bad time to be doing that because ram prices are like 300% higher than what they should be, and continuing to climb, thanks to AI. . . if you do upgrade, I'd suggest picking up at least the ram used, if not the whole bunch.
