John Lithgow published a great poem that adapted Humpty Dumpty to Trump and his wall. Now I cannot find it. Searches come up with book covers or walled gardens. Anyone have a copy?

Lithgow originally published it on some open social media acct so I think he intends for it to be openly shared.

Is this it?

I googled 'Lithgow Trump poem' and was pretty sure it was from the New Yorker.

Thanks! It’s possible I got that hit but perhaps all the enshitification suppressed the text before I could see it. This time I loaded it using Lynx and got the text.

It looks much longer than I recall. This one covers the insurrection, so I don’t think it’s what I originally read. There are so many variations on this now by many writers. I was looking for the original.. though even the original may be too big for what I was going to use it for.

Glad to help!

Also, funny Lynx story from a long time ago.

My dad loves this morbid story his parents read to him, The Hobyahs.

About twenty years ago, he got a dog, a weimaraner, and named her after the dog in that horrid story, Terpie.

I am on IRC and telling my friends about this dog and her morbid namesake, and find a site with Lynx (not the one I linked above, sadly) that had the story and shared it with my friends.

Apparently the link I found had a lot more to it... it was a woman in Texas making and selling concrete yard art.

I got my Dad a Hobyah for his birthday. It was perfect.
