It's not really "immersive" lol; you can fire several shots and enemies will only act individually, with some just several feet away not reacting at all while other pals of theirs are running toward you, and all enemies' vision is apparently terrible since they can't see you if you're more than basically 30' away from them. It's totally not S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-like at all based on these elements, and is almost a self-burn to claim that the game was inspired accordingly.
There's a lot that can be cheesed, too, like just tapping the fire-arrow button instead of holding it to eliminate mouse sway, or hiding in a watchtower where a giant Vendigo can't reach you while you simply take pot shots at it.
It's also frustrating because of the aiming sway and the combination of the game's hard-to-hit, and hard-hitting, monsters.
And yet I'm still playing. It has some fun underneath the wonkiness. Pro-tip: explore even the very start of the game for hidden weapons, and practice right-click-spamming melee weapons to get a sense of how fast they can be continually used. Once you get a bow (there is one out in the field, so you shouldn't need to buy one) and can sustainably buy arrows, and then particularly discover the Vendigo Heart (which is an artifact that grants passive healing) outside the fort, you'll have a much more enjoyable time with this game.
