Also Linux generally had better 1% lows, lower RAM usage, and lower CPU usage. A big part of this is that AMD no longer updates the Windows drivers for the RX 580.

Idk how trustworthy this youtube channel is, but crazy to think the RX 580 released in 2017 and the 8GB version was ~$230 lol

I paid 600 cdn for a 1080ti sc2 which had 11gb.. can still use it for games today if I wanted too.

these days, the high end cards would be $4000, have a high chance to burn my entire house down and are plagued with issues and glitches on windows.

It's too bad the 10-series Linux drivers aren't updated anymore. I put Bazzite on my friend's computer, but it doesn't support the Gaming Mode and has to boot into regular desktop mode instead, then Steam starts in Big Picture mode. Not a huge difference but not quite as slick, maybe uses slightly more resources too.
