- Blogsites are treated in the same manner as social media sites. Medium, Blogger, Substack, etc. are not valid news links regardless of who is posting them. Yes, legitimate news sites use Blogging platforms, they also use Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube and we don't allow those links either.

Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.

Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed. Sources that have a Low or Very Low factual reporting rating or MBFC Credibility Rating may be removed.

Rule 4: Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, anti-religious, or ableist will be removed. “Ironic” prejudice is just prejudiced.

Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

I would not be that black and white. The USA has also done a great deal of good things. But ffs Trump and his followers need to get fucked but the rest of the population.

You Americans are so delusional. This “America is the best country in the world” nonsense that is drummed into you as schoolchildren is nothing but propaganda. It's just sad that many people still believe it as adults. For almost everyone on the planet, including Americans, the US primarily brings suffering. Whether directly, as in this current case, in Palestine or countless other military operations, indirectly through the capitalist exploitation of entire countries, trade blockades, economic sanctions, attacks via financial markets, or in the long term through its climate and environmental crimes.
The US will ruthlessly assert its interests (i.e., the interests of the American owner class), regardless of the price that other people, including Americans themselves, have to pay. Meanwhile, anything and anyone who does not submit is threatened. And when nothing else helps, they bring in the military.
My country is also bad. So are many others if not all. But at the top of the list of the most harmful, evil, and worst countries in the world is clearly the US.
Best country in the world -- exclusively bad You see there is a difference? Also, stop assuming things about others you discuss with, you do not know where I am from. Discuss the topic itself instead.

I mean it's hard not to see things that way right now, saying this as an American.
Some of these people are saying the US was always bad which is rubbish.
For an example of good things that were done in the past pick at random from the $2b before trump cut it from USAID.
It is like these people always were like that and just want to jump out and finally shout some rubbish. They are just as manipulated/manipulative as MAGA.

MAGA is the ones who are doing it, sane people are the ones who are calling it out. You're the one justifying that it's okay because America does a vague good thing, while never getting into the good things they do.
It is clear now that you did not follow what was said. Upset, yes, we all are. That does not make the whole history of all of the USA exclusively bad. That is literally was is being discussed here, despite how obviously rubbish that is.
Name a couple good things the US has done?

This isn't the time. People are angry at us and rightfully so. We don't need to get defensive, we need to get to the work of fixing this country. We need to make sure this never happens again.
Name five good things America did for the Global South.
Notice how every time he's asked, he downvotes and says America is good even if he can't give examples. I'm sure that's not a coincidence.

Even when Trump is actively invading a country illegally, Americans still find ways to defend it.
Read what was said, think about what that means, then write a reply to what was said. Do not mix some things together in your head and then reply to that stuff.
Name one good thing we got from America that couldn't have been done without them and that somehow balances out their pillaging and murdering around the world.
What does "that couldn't have been done without them" mean? That a different human could have been Einstein if Nazis murdered him? That Japan and Nazis would have eventually been beaten by someone or something else anyway? That is such a broad and hard to define "gotcha" that any argument is useless.
The Nazis were defeated by the Soviet Union. Hitler already lost when the Americans arrived. Yes, it would probably have lasted longer, but it's ridiculous that the US still claims credit for this today. American propaganda, that's all.
Most US soldiers in the 1940s and 50s thanked and credited the Soviets for dying to help save Europe from Hitler. The saying is "Americans built it, British paid for it, Soviets died for it."
And now if you say the genuine fact, people think you're the one who's a victim to propaganda.

More Soviets died than Americans or British. British paid for the weapons and ships used to win the war. America built the weapons and ships used to win the war.

But it is still misleading. During Stalingrad, the decisive battle of World War II, Lend-Lease accounted for about 5 percent of Soviet production. During the Wehrmacht's last large-scale offensive operation, the tank battle at Kursk mid 1943, Lend-Lease deliveries were still below 10 percent. It was only later that Lend-Lease accounted for 10-12 percent of military equipment. The only exception here is trucks.

I thought you meant "technological advances". But yeah, for the sake of argument: Einstein's genius would've been found elsewhere, again and again, perhaps in some slum in India for instance, and the Nazis were mostly beaten by the commies, lol, America just joined at the end because letting them take over Europe would've been bad for the power balance for them...
For one who considers life to be sacred (even if you're not white!), is there anything that is worth American imperialism? The genocide of the natives? The enslavement of Africans? The constant invasions and destabilisation of nations? Certainly not, right? Other countries live okay without having to murder, rape and pillage, even under American control!
So there is nothing that would not happen without the USA (or anything, anyone) then, when even one of the most unique humans is replaceable?
Maybe nothing is worth all this death and destruction...

As you say America is great and does good while it invades a country that have immigrants coming to "the best in the world".
