Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Questions which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts and joke questions.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here. This includes using AI responses and summaries.

So now we can add “directly capturing a sovereign leader” to the list of crap the US has done. So what do you think will actually be “the straw that broke the camels back” for world leaders to actually do something? Think it’ll be significant or something mundane?

World leaders should:

  • Sell all US treasuries and buy gold instead
  • Stop using the Dollar to trade with countries not involving America, use Euro, Yuan or gold instead
  • Kick America from the SWIFT system or use an alternative system like China's CIPS
  • Stop using US tech like Google, Mera reddit, X etc
  • Stop buying weapons from America
  • Sanction America, just like they sanctioned Russia.

China and Russia are already doing most of these. So they're not afraid to raise their voice against America.

Japan and UK (both struggling economies) hold the highest amount of US debt. Third is China which is steadily selling.

Giving all power to China, would corrupt it almost instantly, and turn it into USA V2. I don't recommend leaving all power in one country, if you want prosperity.

[–] BoJackHorseman@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Just like power has corrupted America, Britain and other European nations in the past.

That's why we're going for a multi-polar world this time. No country's currency will be the reserve currency. We can use Gold or bitcoin instead.

I don't want to give all power to China.

Or the European TARGET system. Already in place, and works like a charm.

Russia was banned from SWIFT but Israel wasn't so I don't trust it. We need something without American influence.

[–] zaphod@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You think Israel has no influence in Europe? TARGET or SWIFT doesn't make a difference.

[–] BoJackHorseman@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Israel has no influence in China. So CIPS would be better choice.

[–] Amberskin@europe.pub 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I’d go any day with something controlled by the ECB instead of the CCP.

And don’t have any special antipathy vs the Chinese.

[–] BoJackHorseman@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

The EU was quick to sanction Russia but when America attacked Venezuela, they are "closely monitoring". No sanctions for Israel either.

I wouldn't be comfortable with this hypocrisy in an ideal world.

European capitalists already did by moving all factories to China.

Every country in the world already trades with China, it's impossible not to. So why not use their currency?

[–] drmoose@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Why use authoritarian currency?

[–] BoJackHorseman@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Why use authoritarian currency indeed.

Why do Europe and America trade so much with the authoritarian regime?

Don't say the people are good but you have a problem with the regime. It's the regime that developed China in the past 39 years.

[–] drmoose@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I think you don't understand how world reserve currency works. It has to be at least influencable by other countries. Nothing can influence Yuan - it'll never be a world reserve currency.

[–] BoJackHorseman@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Sounds like an ideal reserve currency when you put it that way tbh

[–] drmoose@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

I think it's fair to leave this thread at that then cause ya hopeless lmao

[–] BoycottTwitter@lemmy.zip 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Right! I'm shocked anyone would want that. I just told someone else it's like leaving an abusive partner for an even more abusive partner. I've noticed countries being pushed towards China after the US went even more crazy after Trump winning. I believe they are making a mistake. Japan, South Korea and Taiwan could fulfill most of the same needs as China does and do so better. Just as a random example Japanese capacitors are known for their high quality. Japan and China both supply capacitors. Why not bolster Japan's instead of China's?

[–] BoJackHorseman@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Japan and Korea are small over worked nations I don't think they'll be able to handle so much demand.

[–] r0ertel@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You forgot about all intra-continental internet cables going through US routers and oil being traded in USD.

[–] BoJackHorseman@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

I mentioned oil. Stop doing ALL trades in USD. Use Euro, Yuan or gold.

The cables tho, we'll have to build new ones, something no single country can control.

Pretty sure this is what the techno-garchs want.
