Okay, I'm definitely missing something here. I only know "crepitus" as that clicking, grinding sensation I get in my joints. But, your comment, combined with the follow-up comment from the person to whom you responded, in which they said
makes me think that they're referencing proximity, placement, or direction, and I am completely missing the context.
I'm probably taking all this way too seriously, but I'm sooooo lost. What do cartography, creaky joints, and birds have to do with a Texan's ability to understand something? Either y'all are very successfully yanking my chain, or I am perfectly embodying a Texan stereotype of which I wasn't aware.
I wasn't trying to connect any of those things. As far as I know those aren't connected.
