What DAWs are you using? Are you paying? I use CakeWalk. It's free and similar to software I used 20 years ago called ProTracks.

This is great information. Thank you for sharing. I've tried Reaper and its UI is daunting. I hear it's a fantastic DAW, but I couldn't get into how the UI looked and felt.
