Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious right or left wing sources will be removed at the mods discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted seperately but not to the post body.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source.

Posts which titles don’t match the source won’t be removed, but the autoMod will notify you, and if your title misrepresents the original article, the post will be deleted. If the site changed their headline, the bot might still contact you, just ignore it, we won’t delete your post.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials or celebrity gossip is allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis.

7. No duplicate posts.

If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners.

The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

I don't even know what else to add to this headline. This is so fucked up and tragic scary and infuriating and it will in no way slow the resistance.

Time to get back out there and fight back against their bot accounts and MAGA zealots from reframing this stuff yet again. If you deleted your social media accounts then it's time to get them back and actually put content out to refute bullshit. Call out the leftists telling you to disengage or "Don't wrestle with pigs". Fuck the pigs up. It's a numbers game and the more content shared the more opinions will change over time.

If you're all willing to drive multiple states to go stand in the streets to protest once a year, but you can't be bothered to stop the spread of disinformation and their media from getting to the eyes and ears of the general public then it's a bit like you're trying to rebuild a fence after it collapsed rather than just going out there to put some new posts in before it fell.

If you think that only the democrats can solve this. Then don't bother replying. I don't think you're worth any effort or time. If you're response is something about 'democrats aren't doing anything' don't bother. You're weak and nobody should listen to you ever.

So go out there. Stop hiding. Make your views public again.

If everybody started saying shit that maga wants censored, then it would overwhelm the censors. You're absolutely right it's the way to go. We saw this when Luigi rightfully took out that CEO. It's time for violence and it's time to be loud about it.

Exactly, and I keep seeing people quote this 3% rule regarding protests. That it takes 3% of a population to protest to succeed. But it's wrong. It isn't protests. It's opinions. It takes 3-10% of a population to change their opinion on a topic for the whole group to change. This is why Russia and right wing bots and censorship and attacking left wing views until they left digital spaces become so popular. They wanted every post and every comment section to be talking about their views, kitty litter, trans bathrooms, gun rights, woke, CRT, DEA. The left let them get away with this too long. It's a numbers game. Every post from the right must be met with 2 from us. Every comment must be met with 5 more from us. Like Sean Connery said, it's the Chicago way.
