You can't impeach an ex-president. We can obviously talk about Merrick Garland dropping the ball on going after him...but that has literally nothing to do with who was in charge of Congress at the time. It's irrelevant.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying, or how any of this actually works.
Prosecuting Trump had literally nothing to do with who was in control of Congress at the time. That is not how any of this is supposed to work. It doesn't matter if they had a super-majority in both Houses. It was not up to them. That is not their job.
The responsibility for that failure lies exclusively with the Department of Justice, and more specifically with Merrick Garland for dragging his heels in an effort to appear apolitical.
Who confirmed and then failed to impeach garland?
And garland dragged his heels because that's what biden hired him to do. biden only barely beat trump and knew he couldn't beat anyone else.
