Recently Apple was also shown in court to be using its Siri voice assistant to eavesdrop on private or confidential conversations. Apple is paying a $95 million settlement.

So people paid Google 60 bucks to buy a wiretap for their house, now for evesdropping they get 10 back. These lawsuits in the US are nonsense

Just add the ad and gov revenue streams and I’d say this is a wonderful deal. For Google.
