You're right. Without the Star of David it would be a good piece of art, but instead it looks like the artist really doesn't like Jews
I only saw the Star of David when I wrote the comment but it was pointed out to me that there are blue bars above and below which makes it into the flag of Israel which is a whole different story. The story that he did have ties to Israel I wasn't aware of.
I think it can easily be interpreted as antisemitism so the artist probably should have avoided it
