Why? I take nap sometimes, not every day. Why it takrs courage to wake up? What people do then that require courage?

A lot of people suffer from some dysfunction, anxiety, or other disorder that makes it difficult to do things other people perceive as normal or natural. So for them, it takes a lot of courage to face the things that give them anxiety and not hide away from them.

If any of that doesn’t make sense, then I would say that you are one of the lucky ones that you don’t suffer from those types of disorders, and that’s a good thing. 😊

Sleep inertia. I'm nonfunctional for at least an hour after waking. I've even put an NFC chip next to my kettle I have to scan to dismiss my alarm, but that just results in me sitting like a zombie with a cup of tea in my hand instead of lying dead in my bed.

Every fiber of my body just screams at me to continue sleeping and it's near impossible to fight through that to get up.

Something similar happens to me, but it's not my problem but the people trying to reach me. And I still don't understand why it takes courage.
