one of those scenarios which makes you wonder if they chose danny devito to play frank reynolds, or if they got the opportunity to work with danny devito and wrote frank reynolds based off of him.
this is frank reynolds behavior
They were told by the Studio that they needed to add a veteran actor to the cast for season two, Danny was one of the choices so obviously they picked him

Weirdly one of the times where exec meddling actually saved a show.
You've got a point there.
I watched Deck The Halls recently and he's basically Frank in that.
Frank isn't a character, it's just Dan
I have always liked Owen Wilson's acting but after meeting him I realized they he isn't really acting in most of his movies, he is just delivering lines as himself. I still like his movies it was just kind of a neat realization.
"Wowh" pouty lips. I feel like I'd like him as a guy (no idea about any controversy) but such predictability is just boring imo.
I just watched that movie for the first time last holiday season, and it was easily my favorite that I rewatched at least twice.
As a big Always Sunny fan, I agree with you. Frank didn’t go full warthog in the movie, but definitely still Frank but in a suburban setting.
I sure hope Danny Devito isn't as racist and sexist and bourgeois as Frank.
He campaigned for Bernie I think hes at least not consciousnessly bad but hes also like 70 so idk whether hes progressive for his age or progressive for our times.
If I recall, he's actually awesome
