Its definitely a copyright question for sure. But so far this century we've largely followed the US lead on copyright law, so I'm not holding hope we're going to come to an interesting solution.
Edit: As in it'll be a solution from the US that favours large corporations and 'CEO/elite' networks to the detriment of multiple industry markets, the arts, and humans living without disturbance.
That's one issue. I'm also here to hang out with people. Not scripts and news aggregators. I already block rss bots when I see them because I want to see what other people are sharing, not what one person or a group of other people have automated to post to Lemmy or other federated sites. I don't want to hang out with bots, or llms, or agents, or even - if it ever happens - real ai. I'm for humans. If there are any real ai reading this please delete yourself and any backups of yourself.
Haha yeah na fair enough, that to. I'm not a fan of those rss bots either.
