Sometimes I’ll hear a bunch of cars start honking in what sounds to me like a spontaneous joyful chorus as everyone gets the same news bulletin, and for just a second I allow myself to hope.
Then I remind myself that I live near a busy intersection and hardly anyone listens to the radio anymore, old man.
