He is only guilty of using tools that should have been illegal in the first place.
You don't go after the user, you go after the dealer.
Your attitude is EXACTLY what AI companies want people to feel like.

How about they stop stealing artworks to make and power these slop machines in the first place. But of course, blame the poor junkie instead of a multi billion dollar corporation.

Then Trump is not guilty of fraud because he was only misusing the system that capitalism gave him. Nah, he’s guilty because he chose to commit the crime. Should the system be different, yes.
The same thing here. The man is not addicted to a substance, he saw an opportunity and went for it. Should the system have allowed him? No, however that’s how it is at the moment.
