It's funny to me how on Lemmy no statement can be ridiculous enough on its own. Someone will always reply "That's not true and doesn't align with my personal experiences!"
But isn't that the origin of almost every comment on Lemmy? It's based on someone's personal experience or opinion.
Did you really read my comment and not immediately understand that it wasn't intended to stand up to strict literal scrutiny.
What could I have said that would have tipped you off that it was intended to be exaggeration?
Why is me pointing out that young people reading the news as reply to your comment, suddenly some sort of proof that I was holding you up to strict literal scrutiny?
