I mean, you're right on the money. In its current form AI is literally a powerful autocomplete. It's completely incapable of inventing new ideas or creating original "thought". Simply because of how it is designed. This guy seems to have drunk the cool-aid ๐
At the end of the day, whatever it outputs is only ever an amalgamation of stuff humans have already created, and in fact the output will trend towards the average content of all the training data.
