After the headline, but before the article I thought - Define "center" or Ellison's, The Guardian's and the public polls and opinions are worthless.

My second thought was here is another public figure trying to influence a public conversation whose only qualification is being so rich as to be completely out of touch with reality.

My thought was ‘centre as compared to what’?

The Overton window has been intentionally moved over the past decade, Even before, that what might be considered ‘centre’ in the US, even ‘centre-left’ didn’t align well with other OECD countries.
