Why don't people like the audiobookshelf app?
TestFlight for their iOS app is full. :-(
I currently use the official audiobookshelf app. It's really slow and buggy for me. Every time I open it, it says it's disconnected from the server. Then I have to click a button for it to reconnect.
For my use case, I can't get it to autoplay the next podcast. I would need to setup a playlist or something. The Web version does this just fine, just not the app. I've been playing with Absorb and that seems to do this, though in Android Auto mode it breaks occasionally. Can't speak for this app. Maybe I'll try it and see.
